Jerome and Millcreek townships comprise the eastern portion of Union County. These areas are currently transitioning from predominately rural land uses to residential subdivisions, commercial office parks, retail centers and industrial uses. The prevalence of growth and development is increasing and is responsible for safety concerns and congestion. Union County’s Comprehensive Plan, updated in 2013, outlined several transportation goals for the future in response to the rapidly developing area.
