Darke County Hazard Mitigation Plan

 

 

 

Darke County was recently awarded a Pre-Disaster Mitigation Grant to update their County’s Hazard Mitigation Plan. This update is required by FEMA every five years to remain eligible for funding for projects. Municipalities, police and fire departments, schools, businesses, and the general public may receive funding for any mitigation strategy found in the approved and adopted plan update.

Meeting 1 Materials: February 15, 2024

  • Previous Mitigation Action Survey – This survey asks communities to reflect on the projects they wanted included in the 2018 Hazard Mitigation Plan.  Communities are asked to provide the status of each mitigation action and suggest any new actions they would like included in this plan update.

Meeting 2 Materials: March 28, 2024

  • Mitigation Action Scoring Matrix – As part of the hazard mitigation planning process, communities are asked to identify specific projects and activities (mitigation actions) that will help their communities achieve long-term outcomes related to hazards.
