Client: Miami Valley Regional Planning Commission
BPS was requested to conduct extensive public involvement efforts and limited environmental evaluations for the MVRPC Unsewered Communities Project. All of these efforts have been completed within the five communities that make up the study area.
Throughout this project, BPS has participated in bi-monthly status meetings as well as team coordination meetings. The project team was also responsible for establishing a project website that would be linked with the MVRPC’s existing site. Here, the project team was able to provide general project information, a public survey, steering level committee meeting minutes, draft preliminary plan reports, and postings of public involvement meeting announcements.
BPS also worked to establish a steering level committee for each of the five communities. The project team was responsible for the development of an E-mail list of each committee member for communication purposes, notifications of upcoming meetings and distribution of information, and preparation and posting of meeting minutes.
Overall, BPS was responsible for active public participation efforts throughout the duration of this project. These efforts include: develop public meeting handouts, sign-in sheets and comment sheets, attend public meetings to assist in set-up, direct attendees, take notes, and provide a summary of meetings and comments.
